Untold Stories from Iraq & Afghanistan Charity Graphic Novel UPDATE!
Hello everyone this is a rather large update about the Graphic Novel , Where to begin? Well lets see I was approached by Matt Flora CCO of Opcode Studios and here is what he had to say:
Subject: Untold Stories From IRAQ & AFGHANISTAN
Opcode Studios would like to help get this out on iTunes for sale to help raise money! We have our own comic application that will be built into the comic when people purchase. I have a friend leaving on January 1st. I would love to help get the Graphic Novel out on a Global Market. We can have it selling on iTunes and Android market. I will personally get it out free of charge, and we will be just doing distribution. All money raised will be donated. We will help with marketing and posting on all of our pages, also contact Apple about the project to see if thy can help get the word out!!! I'm excited! The rights of the Graphic Novel will still be yours. I hope to hear from you soon. Give me a call anytime.

Also I was approached by C. Edward Sellner
Creative Director
Visionary Comics Studio
And last but not least I was at the VA. Comic Convention this Saturday and I was able to get a huge number of Main Stream comic industry talent interested in possibly being part of the project They are as follows Tentatively as follows, Larry Hama (G.I. Joe), Alex Saviuk (Spiderman), (Confirmed) Bill Tucci (Sgt. Rock), Chuck Dixon (Birds of Prey), Jim Calafiore (Exiles), Robert Atkins (G.I. Joe), Rick Ketchum (Runaways), James Kuhoric (Army of Darkness), J.C. Vaughn (24), Reilly Brown (Cable), Randy Green (Witchbalde), Louis Small, Jr. (Vampirella), Kevin Sharpe (G.I. Joe), Budd Root (Cavewoman),
and also Renee Whiterstatter has agreed to help me with advice and guidance with the project here is a little about her:
Writer, editor, color artist, and publisher, Renee Witterstaetter began her career working for DC, Marvel, and Topps. After a storytelling immersion in comics, film work was a natural progression for her, and she worked on dozens of commercials and music videos for the likes of Madonna, Seal, and Usher, as well as the feature films Rush Hour Two, and Red Dragon, among others. She is the author of numerous books, including “Dying for Action: The Life and Films of Jackie Chan,” “The Fantastic Art ,” and “The Art of the Barbarian, Vols. 1 and 2, the top-selling “Excess: The Art of Michael Golden” and the just released, “Tex: The Art of Mark Texeira,” as well as her upcoming mystery novel. She has just recently returned from presenting a new paper at the renowned Animation Forum in China, as well as presentations in Aviles and Gijon, Spain.
So it looks like things are finally picking up to get this done and to support our troops! Well until next time
Hero Maker out!

THis is a message to all the Main Stream Comic Artist Pro's
"This goes out to all the Main Stream Comic Artist (Marvel/DC/Wildstorm/IDW/Dark Horse) Awhile back I asked several of you Pro's out there(Some of you are friends) if you all would be interested in helping me on a project to support our fallen and injured troops from the war.By donating a pin-up geared towards the theme of the Untold Stories from Iraq & Afghanistan Graphic Novel, Most of you agreed to do so. As of now I have received one Pin-up! Now I know you guys are busy and I mean busy your schedules are hectic I know. But If your still planing on donating a pin-up I really do need them ASAP! Now I know I asked you all to do this and I asked you to do it for our Troops who have been injured or who have fallen. To come together as an industry both Main Stream and Independent and Freelance'er alike. If you have found you just cant do it just let me know so I can move on and see if I can find others that can. No hard feelings at all to anyone. See this isnt about me or making money its about a Marine who lost his leg to an IED, Its about A Soldier who never made it back home! It's about a Seaman that returned home to find his wife was divorcing him after three tours in Iraq! Its about the Little boy who couldnt recognize his daddy when he came home because his face was burnt beyond recognition! Its about letting America hear from our troops in their own words what it was like for them over there! So please you all know who you are if you are still interested in donating a pin-up for the book then please send me an email. If not then No Hard Feelings! Hope to hear from you all soon either way ! And God Bless our Troops! And God Bless You!

This Pin-up was created by Jose Negron for the Untold Stories From Iraq & Afghanistan Graphic Novel.
Bio:
Jose Ivan Negron AKA Bad Attitude Ink is a cartoonist, currently living in Brooklyn, N.Y with his lovely wife, Rebecca and their cat, Shmucky. Jose has been drawing since he could pick up a pencil ( hey, no one said he drew good at that age, he was just drawing then , that's all )and hasn't stopped since. Except to indulge his addiction to video games.
He studied art at The High School Of Art And Design, in N.Y.C and graduated ultimately from Fort Hamilton High School in Brooklyn, having won the Mark Rothko Art Scholarship that year, one of only ten students in NYC high schools to receive the scholarship yearly. He also took classes at the School Of Visual Arts and Parsons School Of Design on weekends and summer vacations. Yes....his friends did think he was nuts for going to school in the summer and on weekends. They quickly forgave him when they learned he got to draw naked girls in his life drawing classes.
He now does work under the moniker Bad Attitude ink and his work can be found at his online gallery: [link] "
